When Mad Max was designed, it appeared it can't get much better than that. Bike Revolution proved us€ it can,
and with permission from Mr CG Rasmusen, Mr Seide redesigned the LEITRA fairing with several original new details
and developed the Thunderstorm, an original velomobile. It has combined all the good features of the full suspended
MadMax trike and the advantages of the fairing. The advantage of the Thunderstorm over Leitra Avancee is the narrower
track which allows the front wheels to be completely covered within the main fairing, and with three times as much
suspension travel as Leitra, a much more comfortable ride. Above that, Thunderstorm is lower and designed to be even
faster, more comfortable and also, when the fairing is not needed, to be converted into a really good looking tricycle
ready for some real adventure and fun! Since the Thunderstorm is based on MadMax, for the chasis details check on the
MadMax page. Derived from Leitra, the Thunderstorm fairing has the same opening and entry design which allows easy in
and out communication. Within the fairing, there are several reinforcements to protect the rider not just from weather
but also from injuries in case of turning over or being hit by another vehicle in traffic. This means we were not only
thinking about fun but safety as well.
